Exciting news! As of May 20th, we have successfully completed all 10 training sessions of the "Youth Bridges for Democratization and Participation" project. With 22 incredible youth participants and a team of 6 trainers, including 3 from the Netherlands, it has been an empowering journey.

From the beginning of 2023, we began working on a transformative program, enhancing knowledge and skills for effective political and community engagement. This project is implemented by the PCPD in partnership with PAX and funded by GAC.

Our sessions covered democracy, human rights, social accountability, gender issues, and the significance of women's participation in elections.

The youth participants actively engaged, collaborating and learning from diverse perspectives. We witnessed remarkable growth and development throughout the sessions, positioning them as future leaders and change-makers.

The participants of the "Youth Bridges for Democratization and Participation" project have completed 60 hours of capacity-building training sessions to build their abilities and knowledge on democracy, human rights, social accountability, gender issues, and the importance of women's participation in elections. This achievement was accomplished by 22 amazing participants and a team of 6 trainers, including 3 trainers from the Netherlands.

The participants worked actively and impressively, cooperating with each other and learning from diverse perspectives. We witnessed noticeable growth and development in their abilities throughout the sessions, qualifying them to be leaders and change-makers in their communities. The pride in this outcome comes from the transformative program that enhances knowledge and skills for effective political and community engagement.

One of the key focuses of the training was the UNSCR 1325, which highlights the importance of women's participation in peacebuilding and decision-making processes. The participants gained a deeper understanding of the resolution and its impact on Palestine. They also explored national and international laws that Palestine has signed to ensure gender equality and women's rights. In addition, the project focused on implementing and institutionalizing social accountability tools. The participants were introduced to different tools and methodologies for multi-stakeholder dialogue sessions.

We are proud of their achievements and believe in their potential to contribute to a more democratic and inclusive society.
