Violence against women

The Palestinian Center for Peace and Democracy held two meetings in Hebron on violence against women, the Family Protection Law, and the forms of economic, political, and social violence that women are exposed to.

The first meeting was with the director of the Adwar Foundation for Social Change, Sahar Al-Qawasmeh, in which she explained the role of the foundation in supporting women and empowering them economically and conducting workshops based on educating the community on the need to confront forms of violence against women and mechanisms for the institutions’ participation in work on the need for laws that protect women, whether within the family or outside it.

For their part, the Center's support presented proposals for the need for legal strategies or by institutions to have legal deterrents that protect women.
