6 dialogue sessions

The participants of the "Youth Bridges for Democratization and Participation" project conducted 6 dialogue sessions with women's organizations discussing the importance of active participation of Palestinian women in political life.

The participants discussed the roles of men and women in local institutions and ways to enhance and strengthen the role of women in political life at the local level. They also discussed key concepts that were the focus of the initial training sessions, such as the public sphere, gender, gender equality, masculinity, and social justice. Additionally, there was a focus on discussing UN Security Council Resolution 1325, which addresses women, peace, and security issues, and explaining its key objectives. The sessions also emphasized the role of local institutions and their responsibilities towards citizens, the importance of local elections, and the active participation of women in them. The discussion also touched on the role of women's quotas and the importance of increasing women's representation in local institutions.

These sessions were held in Jenin, Tubas, Hebron, Qalqilya, Tulkarm, and Kfil Hares. The participants are to work on 6 initiatives with the residents of these mentioned districts. We are proud of the efforts of the participants in this project and their active engagement with local women's organizations. We believe that enhancing the participation of youth and women in political life is crucial to achieving change and building a more just and developed society.
